Erm, no. I hope to god your version means something different, otherwise the Alizée mafia will be out to get you.

I didn't know that gleem meant something! I'll have to completely overhaul my language...

The new word is "ungleem."

Interesting. And essentially true, but there's no reason to "quit the business" permanently to do that. Taking some time off while raising an infant is just good sense, but Annily/Anny-Lee/Whoever is no longer an infant.

By the time I discovered her, she'd already delivered that note in March '06 saying she was working on a new album. So I always assumed her break was temporary.

I hope she releases a new album. She has too much talent to let it go to waste.

"Such a shame to believe in escape
A life on every face
And that's a change, till I'm finally left with an eight
Tell me to react, I just stare
Maybe I don't know if I should change
A feeling that we share...
It's a shame
(Such a shame)
Number me with rage, it's a shame
(Such a shame)
Number me in haste, it's a shame
This eagerness to change
It's a shame..."

LOL now that's funny. But if you want to choose a word that's French and tasty, I suggest "champagne" fits better than "cheese."

Following suit, I think I'll refer to her as "butter" from now on.

Hm...the use of "cheese" might connote something else musically that we wouldn't want to get into.

Champagne...hm...well, that would be something effervescent, light, ephemeral, and is rapidly intoxicating, but that doesn't age well...we wouldn't want that last part though.

(None of this is a criticism, just some fluffy commentary for the sake of discussion )

So she can be champagne now, and when she's in her 30s or 40s she can become cognac.
