yeah the 1919 one didn't sit well with me either, ruining a nice functioning piece of history like that. specially considering the price tag on a function full auto 1919 which is well above the 20,000 mark. Then again I'm a little bit of a purist when it comes to actual Military surplus.

Regards,

Jung

That seemed to be the sentiment among a lot who saw that episode, including myself (just look at some of the youtube comments). And I agree, Military Surplus shouldn't be tampered with. It kinda defeats the purpose of having surplus in the first place. Though there was a part of an episode where one of the guys builds (with no alterations) an MG42 from a kit. That is one fine machine gun. I wouldn't mind picking one of those up, if they allowed full-auto weapons here.

I've actually chatted with the guy who built the MG42 a little once, he is a member of MilitaryFirearms and is a fine builder. MilitaryFirearms is one of the better forums out there specially when it comes to the Delayed Roller Blowback actions. Some incredible builders over there

Regards,

Jung

Just checked that site out. Looks pretty sweet. Maybe I'll join it.

Also, I was looking around some of the posts for EDC knives there, and noticed a few familiar ones. You wouldn't happen to be jp99 would you?

That would be me xD. Should check out some of Turbothis builds, Holescreek, and Blade are also very talented. There are many other very good builders there. Turbothis just has some rather interesting builds, like an AK in .303 british using Bren Magazines.

Regards,

Jung

Man, it's guys like them that make me feel so small in the world of firearms. At most I can field strip and reassemble my guns eyes closed. But the work these guys do... it's incredible.

Today I went to the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot.

Ate many overpriced samples of food from various regions.

- In Norway, raw salmon tastes EXACTLY like Coppertone sunscreen.
- I don't care for Baklava.
- Shredded pork with pineapple chunks ain't half bad.
- Contrary to my previous belief, goulash is not a clam chowder-like soup.
- How in the hell could you have a stall for South Korea and serve bulgogi but not galbi? The fuck is wrong with you, Disney? Also, "kimchi slaw"? Really?

Internal monologue when riding the stupid-as-all-hell boat ride thing for Norway:
(in a Norwegian accent)
"In Norway, we are a proud culture. In Norway, we carve long boats from logs. In Norway, we have twenty-foot tall polar bears. In Norway, we ride our boats backwards some times. In Norway, our rocks have single eyes. In Norway, we sit in theaters with wicker seats."
