Cool we have a Bluenoser now, welcome from one Maritimer to another.  PS: If you hate that term sorry, but I still think it's better than being called a Bogtrotter which is what I'm told they call us from NB, although it is also used to offend the Irish...

Your not the only one, I never heard of the term Bogtrotter until a few months ago to refer to someone from NB, although I first heard Bluenoser to refer to a Nova Scotian when I first moved to Halifax back in 2000 before starting university there. And all my friends think I'm crazy for not really liking lobster, and we can get some of the best of it here, so your not the only Maritimer who doesn't totally love seafood.
EDIT PS: Fáilte is just Gaelic for welcome, that's about all I remember from a Gaelic singing friend I had while living in Halifax. Last edited by Twitch; 11-21-2006 at 07:57 PM..
