A lot of what she projected under Mylène's guidance was not really in character. She was much more provocative when performing than I would expect her to be in person. (Actually, so is Mylène, but Mylène does it convincingly enough I feel it's at least her shadow self.) The biggest change is, now Alizée's the boss, she'll be more herself. Some people may have a problem with that. I know I'm looking forward to it, though.

One of the things I have always appreciated about the off-stage Alizée is that she doesn't wear high-heels. Those things are an abomination. They do terrible things over time to a woman's foot bones and ankles. Chinese foot-binding was much worse, but represents the same idea, emphasizing a woman's "femininity" (=helplessness) at the expense of her health.

The only reason they look good is because they force the calves to tense emphasizing the muscle flow, and also add height. But if I see someone wearing them out on the street, for me it's an instant turn-off. Not interested. Go find someone who'll abuse you the way you seem to want. (I'll be more forgiving at a party or something. I've been known to wear some pretty weird things to parties myself. )

Edit: That includes a couple of times when I wore drag -- including high heels. Gave me a real appreciation for how stupid they are to try to walk in the damned things, I can tell you!

I want the new Alizée to shine like the star she is. I want her to get up on stage, let loose, and blow the doors off the audience. It will be fun.

edit: I agree. I am constantly amazed that women wear high heels. They walk around, often uncomfortable, and yet feel they have to do it as it makes them look better. To those that think this is OK, get a brain.

The reason why she does use them is obvious tho, it makes her look good. So when she needs to wear something elegant, she puts on a dress.

We never really see her wearing skirt in public. She always uses pants.

I didn't mean short as in the ones she performed in. I meant short as in above the knees. I am sure Lili has some skirts that are above the knees. That dress is long enough that she could have went without the boots. And since hills would look better since Lili has very beautiful legs, and the fact that she is not wearing the matching gloves in that photo makes me think she also did not wear the boots.

I could be completely wrong here, but it's fun to speculate.

Also, I said some of us "think" she wore something other than the boots. I didn't mean for it to sound like we knew for sure. It was discussed shortly in the "Newest Alizée Pictures" thread.
