Default Nouvelle vague

Anyone know this french band? They're doing covers of new wave bands (Joy Divison etc.) in a style called bossa nova (portugese for new wave).

I think this is their best song with a fantastic music video (it's a clip form the Godard movie 'Bande à part'). Enjoy!

yeah i have both their albums, it's pretty good music to chill out to, but not everyone likes mellow music.

I'm learning to play the guitar right now so I'm watching all sorts of guitar videos on youtube. This is one of my favorites so far; Tommy Emmanuel - Angelina

Give me 30 years and I'll be able to play it the way he does...

60's-70's rock was perhaps most influential for me.

Gotta love Cream, Hendrix, Zeppelin, and all those crazy acts.

Alizee is preferably the only person of the newer acts to ever hit me as hard as those rock legends in my opinion.

Don't give me Fall Out Boy, i'll kick their ass at guitar, singing, and whatever the crap they can play.

I totally agree with you. I love the 60's - 70's rock (not so big on the Clapton, but he is good)

I really love ALL music. note: the crap that is spewed out by American Idol and today's popular gangsta rappers (who rap about guns, money and b****es every single track) are not music in my opinion.

I in particular love Muse, Led Zeppelin, all of the 60's Stax Records performers (Sam & Dave, Otis Redding, Booker T and the M.G.'s), Chuck Berry, James Brown, John Legend, Nirvana, Pearljam, Bob Marley, Elvis Presley, the Old Crow Medicine Show, Sex Pistols, the Ramones, NOFX, Jimi Hendrix, the Doors, Allison Krauss, Kanye West, pretty-much everything Timbaland has ever done (would love to see what he could do with Alizée), N.W.A. i'm forgetting plenty so i'll stop

Haven't time to go through all the posts on here, which will be a task. I plan on doing it though, just to see what everyone likes. Maybe i can get turned on to a new band.

Here is Sam & Dave rocking the house on the Stax Records tour of Europe
