Actually to be honest, no
Although if I had to pick one I guess it would be DC United, probably because it's the closest to Northern Virginia. The local team, more or less I know many of their fans are hispanic, and that they've done well since their foundation but that's about it. The only game of a Washington DC team I've been to was for the Nationals, they play baseball. A friend asked me if I wanted to go, and never having been to the stadium I went along. They lost But I had fun! I had a nasty hot dog at a baseball game, checked that off the list

My lot qualified for the Europa League once again last Saturday.

The Northern Ireland teams nearly always get knocked out in the preliminary rounds.
Probably same again this time :-(

As always in football, you never know Ken!

By the way, I kept thinking about your MLS post and remembered this old thing! All the way back from 1998, and after more than 10 years locked away in storage! I'm not sure if the teams on it have the same names or if they even exist anymore, except a few

Wow....nice one Fall :-)
I still think i'm some stuff left from my playing days in Canada.
Last full day of our season today here in Northern Ireland :-( Cup Final next Saturday but we were beaten in the semi-final so that's it for me until the Europa League Qualifiers in late July.

Football isn't that popular here in India. People are absolutely crazy about cricket. Football has small following mostly in the bigger cities. Probably the reason we don't see any famous footballers from our country despite our humongous population.

But I still have hope for a better future. Atletico Madrid invested in a football team from Kolkata and there are talks about setting up an academy. Hoping to see some kids from here to go on and play for ther first team Also my country qualifying for the World Cup finals

Indian Super League's Kolkata franchise launched as 'Atletico de Kolkata'

That's great news Nino
With luck and some determination, the sport will grow as much as it has in the US the last 20 or so years. From empty American football stadiums to packed proper football stadiums. I've been watching a miniseries on HBO called Destino Brasil 2014, talking about just that, on an episode about Landon Donovan

I've seen the squad yesterday and I'm still asking myself - where is Nasri? True, he is not a 'good boy', but come on Deschamps! You need the best squad for the World Cup...
