Oh, one other question. That cool effect you have on your signature or the kind of snowflake like effects Amélie has on hers, how would I go about doing things like that?

Go to effects... apply one as the top layer... select the area you want to be shown and delete it so you have a rough border... now go to Layerstyles and mess around with the bevels and other options untill you find want you want.

Like mine for example I used the redwood palette to lay over all my other pictures, then i made it transparent to see what i was doing, then cut out what i wanted to be shown, however it does not use the bevels like the one i made for panzer.

if you're talking about the pattern overlay like faint grids or lines, it's usually done by making a small pattern. for example you would create a 5px by 5px or even smaller transparent area and draw a simple line or dot(s) with the pencil tool. you would then use that image to "define a pattern" under edit and then save it. i believe you can then use that pattern to fill a certain area with it by using new fill layer under layers. then you play around with opacity/layer effects to make it look nice and blend.

but remember, there are different ways to reach the same outcome in photoshop and the widely used ones are all written down in tutorial sites.

well, you know me, i can't stay with ava and signature longer than two weeks. and actually i have and idea for my new ones already it's just...i have so many ideas, i just don't want let them disappear...
