You like no hip-hop at all Barrett? I don't listen to it a whole a lot, but this album is up there with rock's greatest albums IMO. "Illmatic" by NaS.

Ah, so this is where you discuss other music.

Well first off i would like to promote one of my favourite bands, Katatonia. They are from Sweden and i found them about the same time as i found Opeth. They have made dramatical changes in their music style over the years so one video won't do them much justice.

If your gonna listen to just one of them then the last one is best aligned to their current sound.

This is the "older" Katatonia sound, back in these days they played doom metal which is an slower version of metal related to dark metal. Also, Mikael Åkerfeldt from Opeth is actually the growler (singer) during this album.

The band decided to take a turn in their music style and their next album was somewhat diffrent. The tempo is still low and the melancholic tone is very strong, also they turned the growl for song.
