I hope this is just a misunderstanding. I think people assume that once you post them online, that they are free to do whatever with them. If it's a news/magazine organizations (who should know better not to use copyrighted materials) that use your photos on their articles without giving you any credits, then I'd completely understand your point. However, if it's just regular fans who wanted to re-share them to all Alizee's fans, I think we should give them more leeway and just remind them to at least give credit where credit is due. I think some people do it with good intentions. They might even think that they are actually "helping" the original poster by helping them spread or re-share the poster's pictures. (Kind of like a "re-tweet.")
I know RMJ once said he only shares "5%"
of his Alizee stash because of this.
We're all fans of Alizee. I would hate to see people stop sharing because of this. Also, it's bad enough already to get distracted by Alizee's tattoo; now we have to be distracted by watermark as well.
I don't blame Karin, RMJ or anyone else who does this though. You have put in a lot of work and most of the time, spent a lot of time and money on these. The least that we can do is "THANK and ACKNOWLEDGE" all of them for sharing!
