Default Beyond the obvious...

Alizée has qualities that other celebrities don't. It is these qualities that we should focus on. We can list this and that and nearly everything, but truthfully, Alizée isn't alone in enjoying most of her gifts. What truly makes her stand out is almost beyond me... why, after all, am I still here? Why Alizée? This, to me, is a wonderful mystery.

What then is uniquely Alizée? At her best...

Alizée's French voice and Laurent Boutonnat's music combine as musical Valium. The visuals and lighting in her performances match and magnify this. The word 'soothing' offers no justice. 'In flight' perhaps.

Alizée is innocent, precocious, and mature; all at once, or one at time, at will. This is endearing and entrancing.

At one moment Alizée is just another pop star. I know she is. At another, she is mythology incarnate. I know she is. It makes me want to write.

Default Beyond the obvious... was a double-post

Oops... I thought the first was just a preview. I deleted the duplicate, and I'll delete this message, too, if I feel like it.

I do not wish to sound negative, but it seems with these sorts of things there is a ghost writer that writes the responses or at least heavily edits them. I'm not sure how things actually work, but the responses tend to have the same 'voice' regardless of the celebrity involved.

For example, the celebrity playlists on iTunes have quotes from the celebrities explaining why they like each song in their list. I am not completely convinced the celebrities write their own entries. I'm not even convinced the celebrities choose all the songs. I can hear it now. "No, Micheal Caine, not -that- song. You can't have that song on your list. How about -this- song." It makes me wonder...
