You can only blame Matrix for his outburst to a certain extent, althought his reason seemed absurd, i can assure you, its not simply her hair that caused his absence, please dont judge

Alizée's appearance is only one facet of a whole complex of things that appeal. If she developed some horrible skin disease and became hideous, she would still have that angelic voice and sweet personality and powerful magic. I'd be sad for her, and she wouldn't be nearly as fun to look at, but I wouldn't abandon her.
