To regard to female friends/relatives, I think it's just a question of being afraid of not being understood or looking weird. And as I was saying this might be true regardless of your speaker. At least it is so for me. For example I'm very sorry that Scruffydog's sister doesn't understand his feelings, but I'm not even ready to tell the thing to my brother.

Here's the definition of "soulmate" from wiktionary---

Note: Alizee isn't anyone's actual soulmate, of course. I think "virtual soulmate" would be a more precise term. |

Yes, that's why this is a really complex situation: I have never met her but she completely changed my life. It's like being under a spell.

Do we see things in Alizee that reflects us? We know this connection that many of us feel to her goes beyond the physical.

Two links on the topic, to pages where women discuss Alizée. The pages are in Russian, you can use Google Translate to understand what it's all about.
The first link is to a question on Q&A site in which a girl complains that her boyfriend always watches Alizée, in particular when she sleeps, and asks what to do with it. The answers came mostly from women. https://otvet.mail.ru/question/3425760 The second link leads to a quite large thread on a women's site. One woman came across J'en Ai Marre TV performance on YouTube, read men's comments, was surprised by them and started a discussion that attracted great interest among other women (93 answers in 4 days). http://www.woman.ru/relations/men/thread/4788635/ |

The appeal of JEAM is a couple of things. The women need to watch JEAM in slow motion (1/2 speed), and look at the precision of Alizee's movements. Alizee moves like an angel--- this is part of the reason that men are mesmerized by Alizee. Then there is Alizee's face--- which is average-looking and extremely beautiful at the same time--- which makes no sense. Also mesmerizing. (Personally, I'm more mesmerized by Alizee's face than by her dancing.) Edit: Now we know where all the "dislikes" come from on Alizee's videos! Last edited by Mr Coucou; 10-11-2019 at 08:50 AM.. "A woman is not beautiful when her ankle or arm wins compliments, but when her total appearance diverts admiration from the individual parts of her body." This may be the meaning of your observation about Alizée's face, according to which it is average-looking and extremely beautiful at the same time. I think that the average-looking thing is due to the harmony of her face: there is nothing out of place, everything is perfect and absolutely balanced. But then, after you wake up from her hypnotic power, you start to focus on the little things: her nose, her eyes, her smile and so on. So every little part of her face becomes a little masterpiece and you can't help but feeling "mesmerised". I think this "theory" applies to her whole body. She is beautiful from every point of view
