True, it was a bit weird. Always hard to tell. And who knows, the whole "Lui ou Toi" stuff might have been a little tweaked too; it was, after all, part of Mylene's carefully crafted image.

You know, Ogre, I think you were going a little bit over that (X/2)+7 age rule by just a little bit
Also, it's very possible that they broke up because it just couldn't work. Alizée was constantly travelling around France and other countries, spending most of her time working, while the boy would have been at home in Ajaccio, still in school. There's a lot of pressure there, and then just the pressure of being related to somebody famous. That's why Sarkozy's wife wanted a divorce; not because she didn't want to be married to him, but because she didn't want to be married to the president.

If you didn't really have Alizée, if she were gone all the time, if she were your girlfriend in name only, someone who could actually spend some time with you might become pretty appealing.
Edit: Yes, just as Espire said. It would be very difficult to be romantically involved with a living whirlwind. You would have to be a very patient and understanding man indeed. Teenage boys are seldom that.

Perhaps that's why Jeremy "fit the bill" sort of speak so well, considering all the angles and aspects of the relationship with Lili one would have to come to terms with. Of course I'm not saying that Jeremy is there simply for that reason. Aside from all the usual relationship nuances, he's in a position himself to be able to go through all the motions with Lili, i.e., travel, fame, etc.

Maybe. Maybe not. As I've said already, the next couple of years is the real test of their relationship. The first four years were the easy part (diapers and all). We'll see. If they last, good for them. If not, I hope at least they can maintain their musical partnership. That's producing some awesome stuff!

Or at least until you've met her. Definitely premature before that. First things first.

Quote:
Well, real or not, I kind of assume something like that happened anyway. It seem pretty plausible. She was pretty cute back when she was still a kid and a dancer and performer. I'm sure she has always been quite popular with the males. Eventually it's going to happen. I doubt Jérémy's the only guy she's ever been with. That notion seems rather ridiculous in fact. Point of this thread though is what one can not help but to wonder about - who is this/these guys and what do they think now? As for the other, as much as it kills me to say it, I'll say again, I'd rather A&J just retire than break up because that would be too sad. No sign of either happening though. It will be interesting to see what happens in the future though. Even if Alizée does remain popular and get even more so, does Jérémy want to stay permanently in the background? Too soon to think that far into the future, though. I am not superstitious like Alizée, but I can totally understand the pointlessness of trying to think that far into the future. There's so much to down now and in the near future.
