Sharing cd-keys is sooo illegal. I'm surprised it was mentioned... But cheats aren't since they were implemented in the game by the makers. If they didn't want people to cheat they wouldn't have implemented it (I'm thinking cheat codes in games such as Warcraft, Mortal Kombat: up,up,down, down, left, right,a,b,a anyone? etc). Bug exploits is another story. A friend of mine had his wow account banned permanently for bug exploitation (lol!) There goes 150 bux and about... 1000 hours. You've been warned!!

In the 80's i played on a Commadore 64/128:

Bards Tale, Stealth Fighter, Hunter for Red October, Red Storm Rising and Pegasus PHM.

In the '90's I played on various 286/386/486 IBM platforms:

Civilization I & II, Master of Orion I & II, Wing Commander I - VI.

In the 2000's i've played:

UT-2004 (+), WoW.

yeah - i've been gaming for 22 yrs.........

And Rocket - I still have time for a life! :P

Commodore 64! Omg I haven't heard that thing mentioned in yooonkkks. Just thinking about that cruddy joystick now... Haha. I used to have one. I can't remember the names, but my favourite was the 1942 arcade flight game. Sort of like Raiden if you remember that. There was also a soccer (football for others) game I used to play on it. UT was the first FPS I ever played and UT2004 was the first that made me go "wow". World of Warcraft was the first mmorpg that made me go "wow", purely due to the realisation of the many hours I've put into it...

Currently, when I have the time (ie. when I'm not watching lili) I shoot people in the face with my M95 in BF2.

I still play starcraft. I used to play: Civilization I, III, and Call to Power, Diablo 1 and 2, and I played way too much Super Metroid back in the day.

Hmmmm - I don't. I can't speak for anyone else, only myself. My son doesn't, he pays for what he wants to download out of his allowance. His friends have come over, installed a peer-to-peer downloader, and they have since lost computer privileges in this house.

I understand that the music industry suxxors. I understand that artists don't make a great deal off of thier work compared to the companies. I grew up with albums, and unlike most of you, i REMEMBER when music companies SWORE that CD's would dramatically lower the cost of music, because CD's are SOOOO much cheaper to make. Obviously (or maybe you don't know this) nothing of the sort happened.

However, morally and intellectually, downloading files, games, cd-keys or serials is stealing. Honor is what you do when no one else is looking. For me and mine, i will insist on taking the more honorable way. Is file sharing "worst thing ever"? No. Beruit in '83 was bad, as was Honduras and Nicaragua in '85-'86. Both of those things (in my life) were far worse than file sharing, etc. . . . Is it un-ethical, illegal and wrong.

Yes.

Anything else is pure intellectual self-stimulation.

that's not illegal!

hey zack you told that sharing cd-keys is a worst thing, that's not true in this case.
Take for Example:if u lose a cd-key you have to ask for other's help... so your friend may help you by providing the cd key.... am telling this one because company itself is providing 1000 cd-key's... and u can find the cd-key in the Chip cd's magazines digit's provided by the company etc... so why cant we share the cd-key's in this thread.... another thing is that Game Makers itself is providing the cheats so what is wrong with us to share?
