And yes, I would love to go back to the early days of being a fan. The biggest part of the early charm was not knowing the songs. Right now, even though I don't know what very many of the words MEAN, I do know what a lot of the words ARE, and I don't hear the actual musical and melodic aspects as much as I used to, I just kind of sing along in my mind. Maybe the new album out this year (hopefully) will have that kind of charm again.
yea the thing is, the reason i can listen to L'Alize, ACC, JAM, JPVA, and La isla bonita so much is that it everytime i listen to them, it always brings me back to that summer. it reminds me of how great it was although i took it for granted. i mean i didnt even really go out that summer, i usually just stayed home and my cousins would come over everyday or sleep over and we would just be playing WoW and watchin tv and stuff. and then it reminds me of my week trip to hawaii which of course i had to listen to alizee there.
i listened to some of her newer songs but i really didnt catch a charm like i did with her older songs. her new songs sound really....modern. i mean they are great songs but i just cant listen to them as much as i did her older songs.

i think her new songs take a bit to get used to. unless of course, youre not all that into the "modern music".

when i first got her Psychedelices CD i wasn't a fan of much of it.. but then I listened to it over and over and over.. and over again. and yea, im starting to fall for them too.

but my all time favorite still remains to be JPVA of course!

Music is what you makes it to, you can learn to like any kind of music if you try hard enough. Let's take the Adelaide song for example. The first time I heard it I thought it to be the, if you exuse the expression, gayest shit I've ever heard. Then I started to melt little by little. Today I think it's really cute and it puts a smile to my face everytime I hear it

EDIT: What you said there NewAlizeeFan got me thinking of a new thread
Hint: It's about memories and how they affect us.

It's a duo with her and Alain Chaimfort, another French singer, it should be available to view in this site's video section.

That song has been growing on me as well. It's now in my top 5.

im glad im back. hopefully this summer brings me back to 2006.
Give the other songs of the era a shot. VVV, JBG, CDP, etc. They all have some wonderful little things that are very catchy and memorable.
