The following is a very subjective statement, but I believe - and I have always said that while most of her early work may have been easy-listening and more enjoyable - Par Les Paupières off of Psychédélices is the best song she ever did (and a couple of others off that album as well), simply because her voice never sounded better, and the music never sounded more magical complimenting her chants.

And yes, L'Alizé certainly is a tempting choice to put at number one, but not quite like PLP for me.
PLP is awesome, awesome, with a little more awesome.

My problem is that ALL of her songs are that awesome to me.

Great summary, we could end here

And I also consider PLP as a great song. So much time it would take to write why each song is awesome

They're like children, each different (except the twins Fifty-Sixty and Lilly Town) yet so perfect in their own way.

You can't say you just like one, just one you don't like as much. For example, I have Alizée on shuffle every waking minute of my life, I still couldn't pick out "L'email", I don't even know what it sounds like.

Well my favorite Alizée song is...(after spending hours looking and listening)...'Moi...Lolita' because I love the techno aspect of the song. Plus, this is the one that made her famous, kinda. But my favorite remix...J'en ai marre/Viva La Vida. I made it, though. I guess I'll put it on YouTube now.

Oh favorite remixes now? Well i've only heard a few, but the ones i can name right away (for now) is Fifty Sixty Rolf Honey Remix. Used to hate it, but i love it now. And the Benny Benassi Remix of JPVA

Edit: Here are a couple threads for remixes i found a while back. There's many, many listed, so have fun picking out your favorites:

I'd personally say no because it's not a product of Alizée, it's a product of somebody else editing her work. If Alizée were to remix her own song, then that would be fine. If I were to make a metal-techno remix of L'effet...

I can honestly say there are songs I like and songs I don't like I won't blindly like a song just cause I like the artist. This goes for every artist and album.

Cool

There are so many great songs to choose from. In my many years on this earth, I can't remember any other artist who has had as many "good" songs from which I'd have to choose a favorite. Lou ou Toi and Amelie m'a dit are very beautiful songs. JAM, Gour, ACC, ML, PLP, L'Alize, La Isla Bonita, Youpidoo. How do you choose? Even Ella Ella, if I had never heard a French song before, this is what I would expect one to sound like with the strong nasal sound to it in certain points.

If I had to choose one, I think I'd choose L'Alize, mainly because I took the time to learn 12 of her French songs and this song is an awesome song to sing along with.

2nd post

I was just re-reading my post , checking my grammar ( or is it grammer?), when I realized the fact that I took the time to learn 12 of her French songs, shows you how much I like these songs. For many songs it was not an easy process and I did it because I enjoy them all so much.
