I think she just doesn't get enough rehearsal time. I would imagine for Alizée, it goes like this: each song gets totally worked out in the studio until she has her vocal part down. She then records it and then they move on to the next song.

When you are in a band, you tend to work songs out in live rehearsals and then record them. During and after recording, you continue to play all the songs frequently, to the point where you could almost do them in your sleep. I don't think Alizée has that luxury. I guess if I was her, I would have the studio mix me a karaoke version of each song so I could sing along will all of them every day. Who knows, maybe she already does something like this, but it doesn't seem like it.

I would think after she's done the song a few more times live, she'll get more comfortable with it. Repetition really makes a huge difference in quality and confidence. Either way, other than a bit of a weak start, she did pretty good. I do love this song.
