I once clicked on what seemed to be a legit "anti spyware" program and so it installed fine and had all the normal options that those programs have...so I scanned my pc and it found 4 serious adware virus's. The problem was that IT INSTALLED THOSE VIRUS'S THAT IT FOUND. And when I clicked the "fix" button to get rid of the virus's it said that the fix option is only available if you purchase the full program.

It is such a bullsh-t scam, and I really can't believe they expect people to buy the full program after the free trial version installs harmful software on your pc in the first place.

And I tried every anti virus/spyware program I could find to get rid of those files it installed...but nothing did. I finally managed to locate the files deep within my windows directory and delete them manually which solved the problem.

Yeah the problem is once you get a virus there's really no guarantee that those programs have gotten everything off your computer. From my experience it seems that more often then not something has been missed, especially if it's a serious infection.

yes those work pretty well and they're free
but if you continue to have problems you might have to buy "spy sweeper" at a local bestbuy

its around 25 USD but works really well

sometimes it's not even a virus.
is your anti(whatever) software up to date or you're just wasting your time with system scans.

"Such a shame to believe in escape
A life on every face
And that's a change, till I'm finally left with an eight
Tell me to react, I just stare
Maybe I don't know if I should change
A feeling that we share...
It's a shame
(Such a shame)
Number me with rage, it's a shame
(Such a shame)
Number me in haste, it's a shame
This eagerness to change
It's a shame..."
