I'm not Atra, but I'll toss out an answer :-P

That's a song called "Hello my baby," which is a barbershop piece from quite some time back. One reference I found cites 1899, though I couldn't corraborate that.

What he has there is the most popular / widely known portion of it, which shows up (or showed up, at least) several times on "Merry Melodies" children's cartoons in the 80's and 90's (usually sung by a dancing frog). I can also recall singing it in elementary school choir.

The complete lyrics are:

I've got a little baby but she's out of sight,
I talk to her across the telephone,
I've never seen my baby but she's mine all right,
So take my tip and leave this gal alone (and leave her all alone)

Ev'ry single morning you will hear me yell,
"Hey Central! Fix me up along the line."
He connects me with my honey
then I ring the bell
And this is what I say to baby mine.

Hello! my baby, Hello! my honey,
Hello! my ragtime gal;
Send me a kiss by wire,
Baby, my heart's on fire!
If you refuse me, honey you lose me,
then you;ll be left alone
so baby telephone, and tell me I'm your own!

Thanks for the insights RMJ, I was quite curious about that.

I know their prices are exhorbitant, and they've been "discounting" stuff to try and sell it (with their discounted price still being double what it should be). I've just noticed they had an awful lot of very rare items - platinum discs, trophies, ultra-rare promos, etc, so figured they might have an in somewhere.

Maybe I don't know if I should change
A feeling that we share...
It's a shame

Number me with rage, it's a shame

Number me in haste, it's a shame
This eagerness to change
It's a shame..."

Well, of course I can't be 100% sure about it but it's just how they works. They are in that business purely to make money.

I actually thought couple weeks ago that they are quitting on Alizée altogether because they put their whole collection on sale under their normal prices (but still at ridiculous price). It was clear sign that they were tired of not making any sales due to hiatus of Alizée. But now when out of sudden, we get fans to meet Alizée and she gives a word that she hopes to come back in June, Illogical puts up message saying same... co-incident ? I don't think so... They follows the French boards to keep update what's going on in Alizée's world and in other singers, too, whose stuff they sell.

How they get those platinum discs etc ? Well, they simply buys them. Or you can go and sell them at cheap price and they will sell it at higher price to profit from it. But it doesn't exactly need connections to get those. Alizée's platinum, gold etc. discs has been sold on eBay and priceminister for example. I know atleast 3 fans who has bought of them ( I'd bought too if I'd have that much money!). And same goes for other singers. I have seen Mylène's discs on sale many times. And I was considering to buy NSP's gold disc not too long time ago.

Those aren't unique's so they exists in certain amounts. For each time artist hits that platinum disc limit for example, his/her whole main crew gets the disc. So many of them exists. They are ID numbered and named of course, to be sure who was the person who got that specific item. I can't even imagine how much would cost Lili's personal platinum disc of ML for example, if she'd ever desided to sell it...

Based on some of the previous intel on this site, it is my understanding the publisher is waiting for the election fervor to die down. France just ended their Presidential election; their Parliamentary elections are in June. So a June (or July) release seems reasonable if the primary purpose is a post election release.

ATTENTION ALIZEE REVIENT EN JUIN

What that says, for those who can't read it, is "Attention Alizée returns in June"

There isn't a similar note on the English version of the site, just the French version. Given some of the things this vendor has in their possession, and has had in the past, I'm willing to believe they have some serious business connections in the industry. Do they know something we don't, or are they merely riding one of the rumors the excitement of the last week has generated?
Umm... you're relying on a site that has the word "illogical" in the title?

Isn't that a bit... illogical???

Personally, I get all my news from eBay... I find this much more logical.

Yes it would be "illogical" to rely on just one source. Here is another one.

petite-cherie wrote in this post:
I am the one who met Alizée! They don't know anything about it they just copied/pasted what we said on our forum: AFC - Alizée Fan-Club !

We are not liars! I am the one who took the picture, I can't show the other ones.

You can read everything we said on the AFC : http://www.alizee-fanclub.net/forum/
( direct link: http://sebeyond.celeonet.fr/forum/in...showtopic=1636 )

Here everyone knows us, they all trust us because we have been on the Alizée forums for years and years, we never made up anything! I saw Alizée 3 times in concert, I went to Lyon (5ookm away from my city) to see her at the Pour Laurette concert... I'm a huge fan and I'm just trying to give information!

Hope you'll realise the chance you have to know everything we told you.

By the way, Alizée is gonna post on the AFC...
