Heh. I love how, in this scenario, JEAM is our equivalent to a tactical nuke.

Well of course, that blows peoples' minds! We can't have them in shock or get post-traumatic stress disorder, so that's why we try to save it for drastic measures!

1. What was the deal with the Moscow concert? How did they get chosen? What did they do? Can we recreate? Is there a huge Russian following I do not know about? I admittedly don't know everything there is to know about Alizee, so I am looking for some insight.

2. And then I was wondering about this whole Vegas wedding thing. Is this the only time we know of that he was in America? Is her only impression of Americans Vegas tourists? Does she think that Americans are a bunch of hedonistic morons?

3. On a related note, is anyone else bothered by the Vegas wedding. Seems strange to me. Why would a person of her character opt for a quickie Vegas wedding vs. a dream ceremony in her home town, in the presence of family and friends. Just doesn't seem right.

Sorry to burden you all with my nonsense issues, but I know you are a patient people and will help clarify.

Question 1:
Well obviously there is, I mean i've met several Russian fans as well. I don't know how it happened, but it's there, it is a part of Europe also so basically they had to ahve caught wind of her.

Question 2:
Probably not, I don't think she'd be one to stereotype. Obviously she was there for her own sake, not caring for the other people perhaps, but I think it is the only known trip of her to the USA. Perhaps so, perhaps not, I go with what is proven.

Question 3:
There are many answers to this question, one perhaps might be she sought privacy from the French tabloids. Another would be on the fact it was just a simple vacation, and they married on a whim, Jérémy has stated that he did marry her on a whim. Another fact would be completely personal to them, we may never know.

Yeah, it was kind of strange that, of all places, Moscow was the debut city.

Perhaps they already had one...

Heh. I think a better way of putting it might be that they got married on impulse, carried away by the romantic notion of running away together to be secretly married. I sincerely doubt it was like Jérémy shrugged and said "Enh, nothing good on TV...wanna get hitched?"

I also suspect even Jérémy would agree with us that he's a pretty lucky SOB as far as winning the love jackpot goes.

Well, hopefully, as my first post and first impression...

I could quite possibly make that cut

Alas, I am so glad I discovered Alizee, and eventually took the time and effort to get on some fourms :P

Edit: Anyway I can get that picture of that cat bigger? XD

Alizée has visited America at least twice. That was the second known visit. The first was a trip to New York City with Mylène Farmer. She may have been here more times than that as well, although we don't know for sure.

Hmm . . . that's a good question. I wonder where she's been in the U.S. and Canada, besides NY and Vegas, if anywhere. Anyone know?

According to Jérémy, the wedding was on a whim, by which I understand that they were visiting Las Vegas for other reasons and decided to tie the knot on the spur of the moment. Also, in an interview post-comeback, Alizée stated (incorrectly) that she can be called "madame" only in the state of Nevada. Their marriage is not a legal reality in France, but it is in much of the world (not just in Nevada). They have never married legally in France under French law. These are the facts. Beyond, we must speculate.

French laws and requirements surrounding marriage are almost Byzantine, those in Nevada almost nonexistent. To someone growing up in France, the institution of marriage in Nevada probably seems frivolous and whimsical. (Actually it seems that way even in other parts of the U.S.) Perhaps it was something they did not take entirely seriously.

One must be careful with phrases like "a person of her character." Character impacts how seriously one takes a relationship. However, it does not necessarily have anything to do with how one takes the institution of legal marriage. Also, a couple is two, and Jérémy by all appearances is a bit of a social rebel. The indications from their behavior to date is that they were not inclined to get married legally (or "pour de vrais" -- for real -- as Alizée called it in that same interview).

Their marriage was on a whim; obviously their relationship is not. You live in the same part of California I do. Surely you understand the difference.

Do you think, as a possibility, that this could be practice marriage?
Kinda like, "Well let's get married in USA as practice, to see if it could REALLY work out."

Heh, just playin'
