Here's kind of an amusing video with Jewel in it if you haven't seen it before. They put a lot of makeup on her and give her some frumpy clothes to wear. Then her and about 4 other actors go into a karaoke bar, pretending to be just coming from some convention.

Each one except Jewel goes up and sings a song, after which they would call out Karen (Jewel in disguise) to come up and join them. Well eventually she comes up and of course she winds up singing a jewel song and the crowd is dumb struck. I'll leave the rest to you.
