Cool Today I am a man?

Having at last made 100 posts, I now become a Senior Member of Alizée America and an official member of The Cult. I must confess I am greatly relieved that a final prerequisite to induction did not include having to eat the stuff from Japan which that "first-class vixen" Alizée forced upon poor Lucas during Une Heure Avec Alizée on Fun TV in 2003!

<table align="center" width="50%" cellpadding="10" border="5"><tr><td><i>I am a fan of Walt Disney and Tinkerbell is the character that I like the most. She is like me. She is discrete and gentle, but jealous and mischievous. So am I. Moreover, she protects Peter Pan from all situations. I do too, I take care of the people who love me very much.</i>
- Alizée (as translated) in <a href="http://alizeeamerica.com/forums/showpost.php?p=99201&postcount=101"><i>Sky View</i> 2008-03-2x (Mexico)</a></td></tr></table>

To celebrate "winning tenure," I have now assumed a sobriquet and created a common Profile-Picture/Avatar/Signature, whose unabridged version appears below.

My sobriquet was inspired by a dramatic performance in the 2008 <i>Les Enfoirés</i>, in which Alizée played a tough girl - perhaps from my tough childhood neighborhood - in a medley called <i>Le Match</i>, and specifically sang lyrics from <i>Relax Take It Easy</i> in a highlighted duet with Zazie, backed by a larger chorus, shown below.
<object width="340" height="285"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/LYsKURdqv6M&hl=en_US&fs=1&rel=0&border=1&start=107 &showinfo=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/LYsKURdqv6M&hl=en_US&fs=1&rel=0&border=1&start=107 &showinfo=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="340" height="285"></embed></object>

So far, it has been nice to share with you the fun of enjoying Alizée and her art, and I hope we can continue to do so for many years to come. The world can be a terrible place - and none of us are getting out of here alive - so let's enjoy ourselves while we can.

P.S. I bet you always wondered at what the guy on the Corsican flag was staring!

Welcome Doc... but you aren't a full fledged cultist just yet.

We have a more stringent induction process... which includes crawling across hot coals, singing Décollage BACKWARDS, eating 10 pounds of Corsican cheese, and tattooing "Alizée" somewhere on your body... to name a few

If you've ever seen Alizée's JAM/"Night Elf" dance,
you realize that requires adequate ventilation...
But doing it for Alizée will be a <i>breeze</i>!

What if instead, to <i>show an extra measure of devotion</i>, I use
<nobr>"Alizée is the greatest gift the world has ever received from France,"</nobr>
in the manner suggested by the citation made in the story <a href="http://alizeeamerica.com/forums/showthread.php?p=151090">here</a>?

Umm. I discovered Alizée this past December, right after christmas. I live in Virginia, and have been a self-proclaimed Francophile since I was 8. I am now 18. My favorite songs of hers are, as you may guess from my name, Veni Vidi Vici (though I still chuckle at how she pronounces it, I took Latin in 9th grade), Á Contre-Courant (Dans la Lumiere was my favorite performance, and when I found it was recorded on my b-day, I was ecstatic!), and Par Les Paupiéres. I am in the army reserve, a Chinnook mechanic. My other favorite band is Three Days Grace. I usually get a lot of crap for that combination.
