Nice. Wierd, mustangs led you to Alizee. And my dad has spent his whole life trying to convince me that mustangs are the personification of evil. I still prefer a Corvette, but to each his own. I wish I had a unique story like this. But mine is the atypical 'wanted to know where WoW dances came from, youtube searched it, and the last song I ever heard before being changed forever was Twist.' Real original. Oh, well.

Yes!

I am impressed with your knowledge. I always thought it was interesting that the Poles never wanted to have a Polish king, if at all possible! I think this may reflect the "egalitarian" (single-tier) structure of the nobility (schlachta).

The Polish proverb:
Polak, Węgier, dwa bratanki, i do szabli, i do szklanki

has a Magyar equivalent:
Lengyel, magyar két jó barát, együtt harcol s issza borát

That is why Criss wrote:
Lengyel, magyar...

I think you now understand the joke I was making and why the Alizée lyrics solved my "problem."

You also have very impressive knowledge. And you always have something very smart to say

Well, Polish history is veery complex and knotty
In 1575 in Poland in force there were rules of free election, which originates from year 1572, when the last king of Jagiellon dynasty died childless, Szlachta (Polish noble class) decided to elect new king by an election, in which every noble could stand. In December of 1575, they elected Anna Jagiellon as a Queen, but in those times queen couldn't rule without a king, so szlachta decided to arrange a marriage between her and Stephen Batory, and Batory became a monarch. He is considered as one of the greatest of the elected king in Poland.

But the free election turned out to be the worst possible solution of election Polish Monarch. Maybe it resembles as a democracy voting, but it was effective only in early years.

Hope I cleared it out a bit. Polish history is a great scenario for great movie; plenty of wars, wins, loses, years of ruling over Eastern Europe etc. It's very interesting, but well, every country has an impressive history that is worth telling

I see this link "Check this out!" so I did just that AND I have not been the same since. Here I sit in awe of this beautiful young woman walking out onto the stage. Then she commences to mesmerize me with her amazing voice. I am done hooked, hypnotized, or whatever you wanna call it. It may be different for me than some of you younger folks. I stumbled upon AAm and started watching the videos here. More so the interviews, TV show clips, and such. After watching the two videos of her surprising the young girls for their birthdays, I believe for a TV show, I felt a sense of pride that I think only a father can feel. I am very proud of what this young lady has accomplished. Not only for herself but for the people she has touched. I have ordered pretty much every CD/DVD I can find and I play them pretty much 24 hours a day. When I first heard of the new album I thought "No,not yet, I am still discovering the "past" Alizee". But I have found the "present" Alizee to be just as enjoyable.
I only wish I could have discovered all this sooner. I may have been able to go to Paris for the autograph session. I am confident that a trip to France is in my not too distant future.
MYGOGT (my license plate)originally stood for MY Grabber Orange GT, but has evolved into a new acronym........................................... ...............................MY Girl Of Great Things.

Default Nice to meet you all!

Hey Everyone! I'm new here. I have been lurking around & reading posts for some time but decided to join today. I'm really thrilled about the accomplishment of autograph session. That is really surreal. Congratulations to you guys I wish I could be part of it

I'm a new fan. It's the new Alizee that has got my attention. I love what she is doing now, musically, artistically & image-wise. This attention also has made me revisit the music she did in the past, which is also very enjoyable.

On top of everything, she is a very beautiful person, inside and out.

p.s. I'm a girl. Thank you for the subtitles/translations for the videos/interviews

Hello, thekidEm, Welcome to Alizée America. I hope that you'll enjoy the forum and you can share your experiences and thoughts here.

You are a new one to be touched by the magic of the Corsican girl. You'll discover much more about her. She is really beautiful from every aspect.

It's good to know that you're a girl. Don't make any guesses from this. I'm saying it's good because there are very few girl fans on English forums and I don't know how people conclude from that only males are attracted towards Alizée. She is good that every human being will be impressed by her. There was a discussion also on this topic. Maybe when you share your thoughts about how you feel for Alizée then it can help many to understand this.

One more thing, that I want to know. How did you discover the site. This is because earlier I used to visit the site for videos, lyrics and gallery only. Is that same for you too?
