Very shortly after I made my 1:38 post that Alizée had gone into first place in this poll. Quentinn Mosemann's vote count jumped well up over 300 points in a very short time so I think a few of their fans must be buying the +100 point vote option, which is a shame because it's not a true poll of how many fans like a particular song, just more of who's fans have the most money.

The +5 voting option should be the only one they allow but I guess they have to make a buck too. Alizée dropped down into second by over 300 points then, but now she is back within 20 and it looks like it's from "many fans" using the +5 option, so it looks to me that she is getting far more votes and it would be a shame to see her not finish first in this weeks "poll" if it can be rightfuly called that.

As far a sending an album to radio stations. They're not exactly cheap and we've had very if any luck requesting stations to play any of her songs over the years here, so I really don't think that option would work in the States. It might have a chance with a single like Les Collines, but again, there's not too many of us who can afford to take that chance.

I've said it here before, but I sent Psych to The Current which is part of the public radio station network here in Minnesota. It's locally programmed. I included a cover letter and English translations to all the lyrics. I then requested songs from it many times but to no avail. Yelle was on their playlist along with a few other French artists singing in French. It's noted for being a very open minded station. If they won't play Alizée, who will? It's very frustrating.

I'm following TheCurrent on twitter and have been tweeting them with info on Alizée's new album. They are now following me. I hope that's a sign of some interest.

Well we have to think of that in terms of language and probabilities, like if you are in Canada, especially Quebec, OR in Florida, you can get away with pushing the Spanish and french tracks on her album depending on the area. Then inclusion of English and Spanish in this album is a definite plus, anyway. Hell I still have 5 or so Psych SE albums laying around that I bought to give away to fans. . . Like I said before, she released this album too soon, and should've given PLP a chance haha

btw, I just voted, but I was going to purchase the 100 votes (3bucks), I just don't want to call the number though. I'm done voting. . . These things are annoying. Sometimes, people don't notice that they are online voting every hr and waste hrs of life they will never get back They are with good intentions, but so is a root canal haha

I'm a not big music consumer, so it is only now that I learn a certain "repetitive refrain" worked great for Brooklyn-born Pat Benatar three decades ago. <i>Crimes of Passion</i> was her second album, released in 1980. Pat is one of my all time favorite rocker chicks. She started out singing opera. One of the strongest female voices ever. Beautiful, charismatic,high integrity, Has been married to Neil Geraldo her guitarist and co song writer for about 30 years now. I don't know how many children they have though. Pat has a lot of similarities to Alizee. I saw her in concert in Tulsa in 1983. Ironic and I had forgotten that she had a song titled the same. I have all of her albums. 33 and one thirds.
