For some reason the 'swap a baby for an ipod' made me think of the discussion about Alizée wanted to adopt a child

I have to agree. I checked out a few other Birdy Nam Nam clips on YouTube and I have to say I wasn't impressed. I must admit though that I am probably biased. I will always hold a good musician in higher esteem than people who just push a few buttons on a box that plays back samples...

I bet that was exactly what they were saying about the keyboard or the electric guitar when they arrived. Computers makes it possible to create music without year after year of practice with a single instrument, only to reach moderate skill and maybe be able to join a band. Today everyone can make music and everyone can more or less make a living out of it; But just as before it's all down to musical skill. Not everyone can press a couple of buttons and then get a genuine sound out of it, there are masters in this art aswell.

Keep your mind open

I respectfully disagree with your examples for the most part, but to respond in detail will take this thread too far off track. I'm sorry, but their music just doesn't impress me.

It's getting late in the day in France and I haven't seen anything from Alizée on Twitter yet, but I'm sure she hasn't forgotten about Jérémy !

WOW!! That video is so crazy, great, great stuff. I've never seen something like it before. The music is ok, but the video is really exceptional, I think.
