The USA just broke another world record in the 400M relay. There time 3:12.23
And the last swimmers time was 47.70.
That's crazy.

France 3:12.36
Italy 3:12.65
SA 3:13.06

That stabbing of the 2 Americans Todd and Barbara Bachman in Beijing the other day has drawn a lot of attention here in Minnesota. They owned and operated a very well known floral, home and garden business which has been in their family for 4 generations. Bachman’s is a household name here.

From this crime it seems that there is still a lot of tension between the Chinese and Americans. Though there should be peace in this time that we all come to there country to play in the Olympics.

The Chinese are saying it was an isolated incident and had nothing to do with the couple being American and they weren't wearing anything to identify them as such. Apparently the suspect was having personal problems and just went nuts.

I disagree, in all actuality (ill try my best to stay away from politics here) but the Chinese people actually love America more than most people think and our relationship is growing stronger. First off they are waiving more towards capitalism to start off. Second their whole economy relies on us. Its the same the other way around too, the US and China are such huge trading partners that if the two nations were to distance their relationship in trade, your looking at a huge blow to ours and their economy which could untimely effect the rest of the world. Third they love all things American, and their distant culture is becoming more westernized/Americanized. Further more, what foreign country got the biggest applause when the nations marched in during the opening ceremony? The answer to that is America, they gave us a huge ovation and continued to be very warm to us through out these games. The Chinese people truly loves America. There's more political reasons behind this (specifically with Iran) but I wont bore you and go into details.
edit: also like lefty said, it was probably just some ordinary physco that can be found in any country.

yea i think chinese people love USA more than many of us Americans do.

their economy is pretty much dependent on US like FRA says, i mean their currency is pegged to the US$.
