Tylenol cold says take 1-2 every four hours. Neo Citron says take no more than four/day. I took 2 Tylenol cold every four hours and a couple Neo Citron each day. I'm tired as all hell and nervous and nauseous and I can't come even close to sleeping.
I read the packages closer and apparently you shouldn't take them when you're on medication that contains acetaminophen. They're both almost entirely acetaminophen. Whoops! All I want to do is sleep so the nervousness will go away but I can't because I can't sleep.

Hi RAM,
Well, acetaminophen isn't particularly sleep-inducing. You might want to try something like valerian or passiflora (herbal remedies) or Benadryl or some other antihistamine. Last edited by fsquared; 10-11-2007 at 06:38 PM..

Yeah, it suggests that it can make you sleepless. This is really unpleasant and it seems far too great a punishment for simply taking a little too much Tylenol.

Actually the main reason is much nastier: acetaminophen overdose, particularly in conjunction with alcohol, can severely damage your liver. So definitely lay off the acetominophen and give your liver a rest, and seek medical treatment immediately if you think you may have ingested a toxic dose, because there are antidotes if taken soon enough.
