Whoa, wait a minute! No! Look, maybe it's my cynical nature, or my own bad relationship experiences, but there's no sense in counting on a marriage to last. Some do, but most don't. Artists especially have a hard time making marriages that last. The reason is, art is compelling. It's something that you have to do, or you feel dead. I know that vividly, because I spent four years unable to do my own art, and dead is exactly how I felt. So you can forget about either Alizée or Jérémy retiring -- neither of them can, not permanently. It's easy to make a marriage last between 5 and 10 years, unless you're seriously incompatible, but past that, the only way people do it is to elevate practicality above passion, clamp down on themselves, and prevent change. But to do art, you have to elevate passion above practicality, and change is de rigeur. People talk about celebrity marriages breaking up all the time, but it's not celebrity marriages, it's artist marriages. (It's just that artists, if successful, tend to be celebrities. But you don't find the same trend with the marriages of politicians or businesspeople who may also be celebrities.)

Working partnerships are easier. If they do split down the road, I would want, and I'm sure they would want, it to be amicable enough that they can still work together.

Even if Alizée does remain popular and get even more so, does Jérémy want to stay permanently in the background?

It would be interesting to hear from him on that, but from something she said in a recent interview, it appears he's cool with it, that he actually prefers writing music for others. She's not the only one he writes for, either. If that's so, I think he's being wise. There are much better performers out there than JC. Composition is his strong suit.

Wasn't there an interview lately where she said she really wasn't interested in boys when she was 16-17. It really wasn't until she got around 18 that she started to notice them. Right before Jeremy came into the picture.

The only time I've ever seen her say anything like that was in the NRJ radio interview at the beginning of her comeback, and the way it actually went was something like, "At 16 years old, what were you doing with boys?" and she answered "nothing." But in earlier interviews, she stated she had at least two boyfriends pre-Jérémy, because she was asked what was the most romantic thing anyone had done for her, and she said that she wanted to keep that secret because an ex-boyfriend had done it and her current boyfriend wouldn't like hearing about it. A girl uninterested in guys doesn't have a boyfriend, so that doesn't compute.

I dont know who the guy was but i swere ill find him...somehow...and ill do horrible things to him! Either way! she dumped him or he dumped her...its still his fault! Im the jelous type and anyone who is dumb enough to loose such a angel...is either mentally retarted or straight up stupid...

She said they couldnt just be together, due to the new album. Thats why they broke up, so it wasnt her fault and it wasnt his fault.

Anyway I guess I'm the jealous type aswell, atleast when it comes to Alizée. I haven't read this thread and I won't do it either, I would only go protective stance and get mad like everytime I hear something bad happening to my little angel

I would only go creepy angry mode if the person has no valid points and resort to trash-like butchery of the English language with use of vulgar slang. However, if he/she kept a cool head, a clean explanation, with reasonable explanations to why he does not like her, then I can live with that.
