Wasn't suggesting giving up in the slightest! Just saying Alizée's aware of us, knows this stuff in broad terms, and is waiting for something to happen on our end before making a move. So I'd concentrate energy there! There's no harm in sending a letter, and yes it could give her extra motivation, but it's also kind of "preaching to the choir". Yes, we've been writing to the media for years, but apparently not in sufficient numbers, or else we wouldn't be having this conversation now because she'd already be here! I'm sure of that. And I've met her too you know.

While its true that we're spread out and spread real thin, we have to look at it in a positive way. What we've got is better than being a few thousand fans in one city. Because we're spread out, we can influence more people. If you all lived in my neighborhood here in Annandale, sure we'd make her known like crazy in NOVA/DC Metro Area, but the rest of the country would be in the dark about her. So lets use our weakness as an advantage, when her new album comes out we have to be all over the place. That, plus what Chuck has going on here can convince the American public and Alizée to finally meet.

Okay, then, uh ___
Wow, that was fast. Thank you, Ben. And you, Fall06, and Alex, and the members of the academy and my parents and
Okay, I'm a gonna see this thing through. If we do a good enough job, it can't fail to at least get to her attention. And it may even help the way we're intending it to. Couldn't hurt, right? As for other approaches, that's the beauty of our being a big group: we can all work on the different things at the same time. New version posted again tomorrow. I sleep soon. Brain hurt. Veinard! Well I've met 5 presidents and 11 popes, but I'd gladly trade them all for that. (Okay, maybe not, but I would if I had.. ) |

"thanks everybody!"
Ditto, I'm awful jealous too.
Hi Wasabi! I logged back on special, just to tell you this answer for what you'd said above: Quote:
'Sabi, 'Sabi, 'Sabi, 'Sabi, 'Sabi, 'Sabi, 'Sabi, Kimo Sabe: I like this thought--Barrett and some folks were grousing on the twitterwall thread again the other day, and then I realized something later: Where Alizee tweeted "thanks everybody!", she did it in English. Not French, not Spanish, not Portuguese or Swahili. Sorry, not even Korean. (say, d'you watch "Lost", btw? ) It's a fact. She knows we helped. And she's grateful! And she's gunning for us. I hear you saying "but Twitterwall's an American site - that's why she used English for that tweet." I say that controverts nothing, only further proves my point. |

Thanks everybody isn't that hard though. She should do some awesome sentences that target individual members and crud. That would be awesome!
