I've never watched a Ligue 1 match. Although if i did watch one i would not be opposed to the idea.

But i think they are in Ligue 2 right now...

Back when I had Fox Sports World I watched alot of the Argentine league, and I just gotta say that it is has the most exciting games I've ever seen. The field is always covered with streamers, the crowd goes absolutely insane on goals, confetti flies everywhere, flares and smoke bombs go off all over the stadium, and the announcers are just awesome. The way the sport is supposed to be.

Here are some videos of my favorite team, (River Plate) on both sides of some exciting goals. Turn up your speakers and enjoy.

Nobody is even on the field in this one and it at 0:27 it starts to resemble a new years party.

If these don't get your blood pumping then roll over cause you're dead!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLL!!!!!!

Yeah man this is good stuff here. i get to catch a match here and there on Fox soccer channel of the Argentine league, and those matches never disappoint me.

Boca Juniors vs. River Plate has to be The Premier Rivalry in the World. As far as club football is concerned. Man U vs. Liverpool or Barcelona vs. Real Madrid may be close, but the 2 River-Boca matches i've seen were both phenomenal.

Good times!

My favourite thing about Argentine football, Is that Mauro Zarate started out there. Having watched him at St Andrews for the super Birmingham City, I have to say his dribbling skills rank as highly as Maradonna's. Youtube "Mauro Zarate vs Tottenham" and watch as he twists, turns and humiliates the defence of an amazingly strong side such as Tottenham.
I know its nearly a week since it happened, but in my lifetime I've never been old enough to truly celebrate a team I support winning a league title, Birmingham haven't done for donkeys years, and Slavia's last title win was 1996, therefore I'm still in ecstasy over our triumph over Sparta!
=)
Anyone else a fan of a Czech side?
xx

Spurs were hardly amazing or strong this year. They won the Carling Cup....wooo... They were mostly rubbish all year though.
