I went to my local Best Buy to see if they sold multi-region DVD players and they didn't have any. I'm guessing if you take a PAL DVD into your local Best Buy store, chances are it will not work.

Don't worry about multi-region. Just bring them the DVD and force them to find the biggest screen TV that they can plug into...like the one you see with muiltple linked screens against the wall when you first walk into the store. If all else fails, the portable DVD players can plug into any TV and play no probs.

If you want to buy a PAL DVD player, shop online unless Best Buy has one that can switch over. The cheap low-cost bargain brands often have this considered as a feature. I paid huge amounts of $ for a DVD player and it doesn't play PAL. Hopefully your TV can play back in PAL. Read specs!!!
