I think he means that Corsica developed independently from France and largely from French influence until 1768 at the Treaty of Versailles, whereby France obtained Corsica.

Acadiens, on the other hand, are descendants of actual Frenchmen.

New Englanders to Hawaiians would be a better analogy, I believe.

hi
why did french attack corsica in 1758 if they thought locals were french like them?
I think most of you know that the US constitution is mostly inspirated by the corsican one
tha's probably why there's a corsican american center in corti, the former capital
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pasqual...ted_in_the_USA
general paoli kicked some french asses at "la battaglia di u borgu" in 1768

cheers

No, I'm sure the common belief in America is that the Founding Fathers made The Constitution. Never heard anyone mention that as the inspiration for it.

Indeed, the general idea is that the US constitution is based more on ancient Roman systems than on more modern stuff, though it definitely would have certain ideals in common with the popular movements in France in the 1700's, and the Corsican constitution was the first example of a functional document of that type.

Re: your question of why bother having a truck if you live in the city... that's a very American thing. Americans like large trucks and SUV's, and drive them everywhere. Only a tiny percent of the people who own and drive one have any actual use for them - it's simply a preference to be big.

You know whats funny that i just realized. She talkes about Paris Hilton in Lily town right, and she likes tinkerbell? So maybe she wants to steal Paris' dog or something. Cause she likes dogs too. But tinkerbell is a rat dog, she might kick it across the room or something.

Dats a cool car plate, i will say that some people think its really gaying it up. but ok, those who dont know Alizee wont even care, and thos who do understand soooo more power to ya dude.

Peace.

hi
well, us historians admit the us constitution is based on paoli's one, that's why there are so many places called paoli in new england
historically corsican revolution, us revolution and french revolution are linked and based on the same stuff but they all agree the first "modern" constitution was established in corte
actually I don't think a corsican american center was built in corte to make us students discover corsican saussages
read there
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corsican_Constitution
I'm a little surprised though, I thought you knew everything about corsica
pardon my french
http://e.orsatelli.free.fr/pascal_paoli.htm
remember general paoli? ;
I should say "Remember General Paoli" like anthony wayne before the battle
cheers

well i think i may have to make the FJ-40 into the Alizee-mobile one day (after i get a motor, lockers and lower gears) i was thinking of putting as much alizee stuff as i can painted on it such as CD covers her name on the hood and maybe if i can get a good pic of her on the Bikini top i plan on making for it for it will mainly be driven in the summer and taken out to go offroading in the badlands and maybe moab.

if i get it all done i could be a good way to spread Alizee popularity in the US exspecially if I go to Moab or Rubicon but people from all over the US and Canada go the the summer rally in the badlands so it could help
