I Agree th i don't know why she would go with a blacked out version of the 1911 because the original one is very nice looking.

Although why would she use any of those for a concealed firearm on her thigh. She should use a small .38 or some other small revolver.

both guns could easily be put in a thigh holster although a good hip or shoulder holster would be my preference just cause I don't wear anything that would make a thigh holster effective, but for someone that would wear a skirt or dress or long coat it would be rather simple for the firearms pictured

and to actually answer your original question the reason for not having a revolver is that they are sadly being widely replaced by automatics

a revolver is actually one of the best weapons for self defense as they never jam and you can't eject the magazine while drawing it although they have drawbacks those being lower amount of ammo, slower to reload on average, and usually larger recoil (but on average none of those will come into account on a self defense situation other tahn maybe the recoil)
