Funniest line have heard lately! If I remember correctly, it's against UCMJ from them to physically touch you. The thing is, you don't really learn of the UCMJ until after the fact. But that really doesn't prevent them from finding other creative means to torment you.

IMO, no one can beat the "Gunny" R. Lee Ermey in "Full Metal Jacket".

I've spoken to many marines, and they have all confirmed that the DI's do choke recruits, and slap them in the head. I also talked to them about the Full Metal Jacket scene, and in their own words "that scene was a joke". here is how it is in real life bootcamp..

LMAO all these bootcamp vids. Try booting on your boots when DI's are screaming in your face especially when you're straight off the airport bus. Oh yeah, good times.

Nurvonic, in all those vids you'd notice that never once did they come but within an inch of touching the person. But that could be only for the camera. But for sure in the Air Force they cannot physically place a finger on you. However, similar to "A Few Good Men' with the "Code Red" (which is probably just a name created for the movie) I have heard of what is called a "blanket party" where your squad mates will beat you for your screw ups though I never really seen it.

yeah, they had to water down their antics because the cameras were rolling. but those were only a few minutes of footage, compared to 13 weeks of the actual thing. the first 2 videos are from the documentary "Ears Open, Eyeballs, Click". you should check it out

blanket parties are when recruits throw a blanket over another recruit covering their whole body and head, and physically assualt them. the blanket is used to hold down the recruit, and so he cannot identify the assailants.

Rule number one is to blend in with the crowd. Never be the last or the first. If you try to be "the best" they'll just put more shit on you than it's worth, lol. And blanket parties do happen just so you know.
