Today I saw this article. Sorry for my bad translation but I wanted to share it with you promptly.

Friday 7, March 2008 MÉXICO.- When Roman y Surawud, from Colorado and Sacramento, saw by internet´s forum that Alizée was going to have an autograph session in Mexico, they do not doubt in buying ticket planes to get closer to their idol.

Their surprise was not only with the cancelation of the event, after camping for 24 hours and being part of the first ones to buy the CD, but the image of the riot and bad organization from the country, as they assured.

"In México are great people, great fans, but we cannot denied that this is a spot of you in all the world.

"I never saw this before, I was in December in Paris at Alizée´s Autograph session and there were less people, but everybody with good behavior" said Roman, who is leader of the fan club in USA of the french girl.

According to Surawud, among the main problems of the autograph session were that organizers ignored the popularity of the singer and capacity to respond to the invitation; the lack of security and the riot by the so called "fans".

"It would be much better to open the doors to the fanatics so that they could see her and take her photos and not by hiding her inside the store, in front of a small road, that was very dangerous.

"Besides, I believe that Alizée fans are different, nos 'hardcore', the difference among 'hardcore' and real fans is that fans don't cause problems...But this session was a blast" said the 24 year old young boy, that planned his return to his country yesterday night.

Few fans take the option of money refund.
Even people had the possibility of money refund, most of Alizée fans went on Wednesday to Mixup Plaza Universidad not to accept money refund, at least until yesterday.

The attendants, whom by the way were prohibited to stay at night out of the Record Store, seems that they are seeking for the autograph cover that, were promised by the record label Sony BMG and Mixup.

"It's a pity we could not see her, but at least we will have the memory of this frustated visit" said Karla, a 15 year old student.

Representatives of the record label assured that before departed, the french singer signed the 500 CD's, and were given to the store yesterday.

"Alizée signed hundreds of CD's that night and even at the airport while waiting the arrival of her plane" said the source.

According to Mixup, only 20 people decided to have money refund yesterday of the CD, that costs 177 Mexican pesos.

"We will keep on giving money refund to the people they want it to, but I guess most of the people will come to the store with their bracelet to pick up the Cover Signed", said a representative.

Back to France - Flight to Paris

After causing a conmotion and controversy in some of the places she visited, Alizée left Mexico City yesterday afternoon.

Around 12:30 (noon), the singer left the hotel at Polanco´s neighborhood, in which she stayed, sorrounded by security elements that were in charge to avoid anybody to approach to the artist while she was boarding a gray SUV to then be transported to the International Airport in Mexico City.

During her transportation the vehicle was escorted by another identical one directly to Terminal 2, once the first vehicle get into the Airport hangars the other vehicle remain outside.

According to information of the Terminal Airport, the only flight to Paris, was the same from which Alizée arrived on the weekend, and it was Aeromexico flight and left at 15:00 hr Mexico time.

The artist arrived from Paris on Sunday and had a press conference on Monday, give some interviews and do the 500 autograph session at Plaza Universidad on Wednesday afternoon.

However, the interview that was going to offer at the radio station Oye 89.7 was cancelled after the singer and her security team tried to set up conditions to enter to the radio cabin, and not allowed to enter the five winners of a promotion in which they were going to met the artist , or performer of "J'en Ai Marre!" they also prohibited photo shots, and for that reason Arturo Forzán, director of the radio station, decided to suspend the interview and apologized with the fans.

The main duty of her agenda, was the autograph session, that was cancelled due to the riot caused by the great number of followers whom attended, although only the 500 first fans were supposed to see her and get her autograph, at the place arrived more than 2 thousand people and the singer retired, apparently, for security reasons, without having any contact with her Mexican audience.

Thanks for the help I agree in regard to the bad organization, and the bad reputation we got in Mexico.

But I am very thankful with Alizée for visiting us here in Mexico.

She looked so happy to be here as you can see in every photo and video taken to her. Except for the Autograph session of course.

I admire how Alizée has involved with her fans and the fact she spent the time to personally signed the 500 CD´s!!!

I have heard that artists have people doing this job instead of them

And I am happy she had the time to signed and dedicate to Alizee-America forum the autograph.

She knows this forum exists too

Well, we could use a little better translation, but thanks a lot. This is the first translation I've been able to get. I guess that guy was kind of a big deal after all. This was also in the actual Reforma newspaper.

Well, it's close enough, but LOL, I'm now your leader! I think Sir Wood actually said most of that. My main point was that this was just un-frikin believeable that it happened. And, I pointed out how hard working and orderly and helpful the Mexican fans were as opposed to the banditos trying to break in. Sir Wood and I both agreed that this will make Mexico look bad. I guess Wood brought up Paris. I don't remember. Obviously I described that and yes, they had body guards but it was nothing at all like the videos I've seen of this place - a mob with zero respect for the store personnel or Alizée.

Wow. That's total B.S. If the artist did not personally sign it, then screw it. It's worthless. In this case I of course mostly just wanted to see and talk to Alizée again. Once is not enough. I don't think we would have had any time, though, anyway, but whatever it would have been would have been good enough. I would still like to get that autograph for the heck of it and for the work that Alizée put into signing them. I believe Sir Wood as a new name for this store. I think you can imagine it yourself.

Oh, and a shout out to Karla. Thanks for translations and we did go to that place you told us about, though I forget the name of it off hand. Maybe I'll post photos some day. (if she ever comes here, unlikely, but still...)

Now you are as famous as Alizée here in Mexico.

Oopps....my brother wants me to go with him to get one of those 20 CD's left

Folks who weren't there can't understand what we went through or are going through. I've read some comments about blaming Alizée for this which is absurd. But that's their opinion which I don't really value.

Anyway, I'm going to try to normalize myself, but not sure about anything these days... Everytime I think about the past few days just depresses me more...
So, I finally got around to reading this. Yeah, that's pretty much it. Good summary of events. All I can think is that you have to go see Alizée again, though, like you say, probably not going to be for a face to face. Maybe you can get up close in a concert, though. Here's the thing also about Mexico, Alizée is coming back supposedly in late May. It's going to be hotter than hell. It was hot like 80 F in the sun. It was nice in the shade. Not in May. This trip I think was the only chance we'll ever get to see Alizée when the weather is nice and I'm pretty sure that any time you go see Alizée, it's going to mean a lot of standing around outside. We will be well weathered and worn in Mexico Mays and Paris Octobers. Oh well. For those going to Monaco at the end of this month, I'm thinking it will be pretty nice. Probably no one reading this.
Paris was great. Strasbourg was great. Mexico was horrible. Paris will be great. or something like that

I packed PopTarts in my back pack and survived off a bottle of water all day. Idea for next trip...pack food/water. Long wait ahead
