A movie with Julia Roberts reminded me of this interview.

This is a wonderful video. It is from 1944, and shows the 57th Bomb Wing hosting a Christmas party for the children of the village of Migliacciaro, in Corsica, which was the 57th Bomb Wing headquarters. This film was taken by Lt. Wilber T. Blume of the Army Air Forces 9th Combat Camera Unit (AAF CCU).






The film is available for download from the National Archives (US), and I have included a link to it that includes interesting comments, including from Dominique Taddei, who was one of the children Julie Martin, the daughter of one of the members of the 57ths, and Burton Blume, the son of the camera man.

Though I haven't been able to make out what they are singing, I imagine it is likely to be a selection of Christmas carols that were popular at the time. I have included a couple of links to lists of English Christmas songs that were popular during WWII and afterwards.

Hey wildfire;
That was from the SAGA show, Stars au Grand Air. I paid to have that show translated then uploaded 3 videos of the show to Youtube. That song is on part 2 I believe, but if you haven't seen them, it's worth watching the shows in order and they have English captions.
