Actually, the production car is a 2010 with an early 09 production start. It will be interesting how the car fairs with current gas prices. I'm not worried about the V8 version, which will probably sell out quick as folks with $40K to burn on a sports car are often not too gas conscious. But this is a mainstream production run (200,000 a year), so the anchor of the production will be the mid-range buyers looking for economy, some performance, and looks. Low end currently has a V6. GM is looking at putting in a turbo 4 banger for an economy version in 2012. [Same 4 banger that powers the Solstice GXP and Saturn SKY RL].
