Sauron, how do you listen to music anyways, when you're just a giant eye atop a dark tower wreathed in flame?
Just wondering. Anyone notice how the songs this time around are shorter? They don't seem shorter when you listen to them, but they end roughly a minute sooner than the songs on the old albums. I'm not complaining, though. It was something of a double-edged sword with the old songs; the fourth minute would usually be the chorus repeating endlessly, with new layers added occasionally, and whether you listened all the way through without hitting "Skip" depended on your mood at the moment (I'm speaking from my experience, of course). Then again, I suppose having a longer song works nicely in the sense that you at least have the OPTION to keep listening if you're really into it. I guess I'll just be making liberal use of the "Repeat" function on music players with these new songs! Alizee won't have to shake her booty on stage as long with these songs. I bet that'll be a nice change of pace for her (not necessarily for us, though!). I always wondered if she felt a lil' awkward or tired going on and on in songs like "J'en ai marre" that don't have as definite an ending as these new songs, and tend to trail into a fadeout in stage performances. These songs seem a lot more focused; they get their work done and that's that. They're addictive as hell, too. - N |

I've only got a few minutes before leaving for work, so this is the only bit I'm going to get out, but here's what I think the first quatrain might be:
Mademoiselle Julietta Son Romeo dans l'alpha Devait rendre a un mal coeur Jolie syndrome de l'amour. Which roughly translates as: Mademoiselle Juliet, Her Romeo in the the Alphabet, Had to give to a sick heart The beautiful syndrome called love. I'll be back tonight! -----edit----- I'm gonna be late now, but I couldn't help listen to and post the next couple lines... Shakespeare s'amuse de sa muse L'heroine tough qu'il abuse... Translation: Shakespeare, entertained by his muse, The tough heroine whom he abuses... I'm pretty sure I know what the rest is saying, but I really don't have time to transcribe! Darn work!

The new songs do feel more concentrated and "powerful", short and strong, still think the ending could be touched up. Right now it just seems they just cut it cause they didn't really know how to end it.. imo. Im kinda addicted to it already though...
