I have to admit, when I first heard the samples from this album, one of the first thoughts I had was "Man, how is she going to perform these live?!" But I thought she actually pulled if off admirably. The backing vocal track on Les Collines was a little heavier than I would have liked (but then, it's that kind of song), but otherwise they sounded pretty decent live.

I haven't seen any reference to it here, but a few of us were going back and forth about this on Twitter earlier: Is anyone else's mind completely blown by Lili playing the synth? I don't know why exactly, I appreciate that it shouldn't be that big a deal, but for me it was the crowning moment of awesomeness in all this.

Huge thanks again to everyone who took, posted and shared vids and pics. Much obliged.
I thought the same thing. Some of these songs sound really difficult to sing live. From what I could tell, she did a great job.

I wouldn't say Alizée is exactly playing the synth. She appears, from what I can tell, to be using it to trigger samples. Nevertheless, I'm blown away by the fact she would even do that. In my opinion, Alizée has been almost flawless in her execution of this promo. Look at our letter to her. So many of the things we mentioned about communication and use of the internet, and making stuff as available as possible to all countries, she and her team have done, and quite well I might add. And that goes for many of the other weak spots people have pointed out it the past. She is really evolving and improving as an artist. She has much to be proud about. My hat's off to her.

No matter whether she was playing it or triggering samples (though to trigger samples, would she need to hold the keys down?), her hands operating a musical device = totally awesome. And a step in the right direction

Am I the only one who thinks she looks like some sort of conspiracy theorist with that hat?

Otherwise, I think she did great (as usual)

+1!
That really surprised me...hope we see more of this in the future.

Good performance, liked her voice in Les Collines much.
Cool little event....*starts dreaming about a Lili concert in europe*

I remember making a wild prediction in the pre-Psych days that she would walk out on stage playing guitar on one song. You know, just something with a few simple chords. Man, was I off base. But I had the right idea, just the wrong album and the wrong time. Now I feel a bit vindicated.

It wouldn't surprise me that as Alizée's career progresses on into the future, we will see her do more things like this. I hope to see her try her hand at writing some lyrics or developing some melodies. Maybe some day we will see her as a co-author of some of her songs. I also wouldn't be surprised if she has already been doing this in private, but doesn't feel secure enough yet to do it for the public.
