So, I never did comment on the song I voted for, and this was the one.

This song has really grown on me over the years. The En Concert video of it is fantastic, but since one gets fixated on Alizee in the video, the underlying song takes a back seat. Listening to just the song on the album really brings out the brilliance of the arrangement. Yes, it is a little rap-ish but I would not go as far as calling it a rap song. The percussion is very prominent, especially in the middle part of the song. It is easy to get lost in the instrumental portion of the song and Alizee's soft voice makes it very easy to listen to.

In the En Concert video, Alizee is of course very beautiful singing from the steps of the shoe. Alizee dancing around the drummer is one of the most epic moments in En Concert in my opinion. I really don't know how the drummer kept his composure and didn't mess up the beat. She sways to the front of the stage and is met by the backup singers for another great scene, then walks off stage while the lead guitar plays his solo. Just a great video.

It’s especially good as a performance at a concert - if someone doesn’t like the song so much.

Or okay, I’ve watched the Gourmandises video a few times, but only briefly because I love Alizée performing in it, and what she looks like!

Now I have watched ACC and JPVA videos!!




Although the order I set earlier has practically not changed in my head at all - but for some reason I only have episodes, as I’ve said before, when I watch and spend time with only a few and the same video.

In the name of the truth, it may not even make any sense, because then you are already looking at them "too much" and you can "get bored", but of course only in quotation marks, because we are talking about Alizée!

Example: When I already mentioned the gourmandises performance... I haven’t watched live TV versions of Gourmandises for probably “months,” even though they are my favorites!

On the other hand, the good thing about this “selective” viewing is that then the performances you haven’t watched right now will feel newer again!

I'm sure as with any singer you like , you can wear yourself out on them, even Alizee. That's one reason I've shied away from things like walkmans or listening to songs through head sets or ear buds during most of my waking day. I try to save her for when the day is done and I'm tired and want to just sit back and relax.
