![]() She simply just does not want to come here. She thinks she would have to sing in English to succeed but she doesn't want to because she is not bilingual. She has said she is very scared of the US market and it's on a whole other level. There is probably concern that too much international travel will affect her family life.
Be aware, if you were to pull off here what Mexico has succeeded in doing, Alizée may not be very happy. That's why I always hoped she would just do a few TV shows here, sell some CDs and then be able to go home without touring. |

![]() What you said reminded me of another interview quote, lefty. I don't remember where it's from but paraphrasing on the issue of coming to America, she said she loves the country and likes being able to visit it as just a normal person.
Anyone remember the exact quote and where it's from? Countries like Russia and Mexico also listen to lots of music in a non-native language and we don't. It's nice if you guys want to change that, but for me it's not worth the effort. What's the big deal if she comes to the US anyway? Half the fun of being an Alizée fan is the foreignness, the adventure, and going to where she is. Last edited by Ben; 03-09-2008 at 12:54 AM.. |

![]() Those who do travel still only see her occasionally. That's even true for most people in France. If she came here, you'd see a concert, maybe two, maybe meet her briefly, that's it. Work hard and save up and you can accomplish all those things anyway. Don't get me wrong, it would be nice, but the amount of effort we're talking about here... if time is money, you'd end up loosing more that way!

![]() I think maybe the US and Canadian fans are looking for some validation, that their devotion to her matters enough to warrant a visit. This is more of an emotional issue, rather than a practical one. I’m sure Alizée cares, but as far as business goes, we apparently don’t matter enough. At least not like Mexico now does…

![]() Well I want her to come here too, but if you guys are serious about it like you've been saying on the previous page, then just be aware that it's going to take more time, money, and effort than going to her. Keep in mind how it all started in Mexico: with the internet, with YouTube specifically, and videos of her J'en ai marre performance - the same videos anyone can see here. So there's a long way to go. Personally, I don't see the point.

![]() Ive accepted the fact that I'll never get the chance to meet/see her in person so I'm not too mad about her probably not coming here. Seeing as shes a very cautious person, the chances are slim unless some hardcore advertisement is put in (mtv/vh1's artist on the lookout type of thing). Having something like that happen is hard to do but hey, if it does then maaaaybe she'll consider coming a little more. Just my thoughts
