In the latter regard, one discovers that there is a popular line of alcoholic drinks, nearly all of them liqueurs, called Alizé. (The Wikipedia article reports that the first of them was introduced to the world the same year as was Alizée herself, namely 1984.) The brand nearly died until almost a decade later, when rap superstar Tupac Shakur sang about it. For years thereafter, it was a popular reference in rap music. Haha. Rihanna's partial bob sort of reminds me of Gourmandices era Alizèe.
Still don't really understand why she likes Jay-Z's work though. Did she ever mention any specifics during interviews? (Something deeper than "I like it"?)
