Oh and here's a video of this crazy hooker lady we found singing on the street; Ramon decided to take a video of her lol. She was trying to call me over there I was like no thanks lol but I wanted Ben to take a pic he also said no thanks LMAO. It was very funny

That's totally paranoid. No one is giving out whole songs. They are doing free, albeit unrequested promotion. It bears 0 resemblance to the case you cited. Alizée needs the help, that's why this is being done. If I found out about Alizée years ago, I would have bought her stuff years ago. I'll bet Sony is just LOVING this or will if it goes anywhere. Look at Mexico. You know what, it just occurred to me, maybe Sony doesn't want to say to much and condone this because they might feel like they would be putting themselves into a situation where they owe people like Snatcher for implied advertisement contract. So, I'd say contact them and be careful about what you say so you don't put them in danger of you either. It goes both ways I think. Ben has contacted them and Alizée. They can say yes or no whenever they want.

Whatever she said a long time ago, she seems to want music sales and concerts where she can get them now.

ha ha Batizée, eh? Great for places frequented by low clouds! That's actually not that crazy of an idea, maybe. What kind of light would that take? One could find some public light and try not to get arrested putting that on it one night (or every night possible). Or maybe on common street lamps where it will shine somewhere, like a wall, and then leave flyers or whatever with the symbol on it so they make the connection.

@ tbailey - yes, and she needs to continue working on her craft. The US hasn't been and won't be easy. Nowhere is easy.

Lefty made a point about Alizée doing a duet with another singer signed with Sony/BMG. Anything like that seems like a good idea.

These bands/artists are all a part of Sony/BMG, and well, I have that little metalhead/fanboy fantasy.

Yeah. Thanks but I'm really not into metal; so, maybe someone else, though with the right song any of them could still be really cool. To see Alizée sing with her beautiful and cute voice and make it work with some big well known singer on American tv would be so cool. Actually, maybe someone from the metal genre would be good if balanced by Alizée. Look what she did with Oxmo Puccino, for example (point being he's a different genre one wouldn't have expected from Alizée). Alizée makes everything better.

I wish to see her doing anything at this point though. *cry* It's been too long.

Satch is just a guitarist, he plays all sorts of stuff, Ozzy's the metal guy there, AC/DC's just a hard rock band rooted in the blues, and well, Oasis is alternative Britpop.

But man, her vacation is killing me, some news? Any news?

Well, Yelle will be touring the US soon... The shows would be a good place to drop Alizée-related materials. And if the tour's a success, it would be a good thing to show Sony/BMG that a French performer can do well here.

By the way, I don't know if anyone ever figured out what happened with comments getting deleted from her mySpace, but it occurs to me another possibility is that her account was "compromised". It wouldn't be the first time I think. I once received a non-Alizée related spam looking bulletin from her account. I sent a message back to let her know that the account appeared to have been taken over.
