The only bad thing is lately I've been reading that Europe is already starting to slip back into a double dip recession. France is going to get hit even worse when the new taxes that are being proposed, start to take a bite out of the economy after Jan 1st.

I also read today that Peugeot Citroen is laying off 5,000 in France.

This of course doesn't bode well sales wise for any CD released next year.

Unemployed and under-employed potential customers in France are not big on spending money they don't have.

Not being negative, just pointing out what is going on with the E.U. economy.

I think we've learned though already that if a CD IS good, that people still won't buy it. Just imagine if everyone legally bought CDs to where we could tell how many were sold. Those sales would be astronomical in any country. But I feel that if people will want her new album, that they'll resort to pirating if they literally can't afford it...

Like it or not, the fortune of any musicain looks as though it will depend on live performances even more in the future than it has in the past. Therefore, although I would prefer to see her sell a million of her next album, getting 10 million to listen to it would be almost as good, because the net result would be her ability to fill a venue for live performances.

personally I cant tell... from day to day its worse here in Europe... everyday bad news... and in this week it started about France too...

According to one of Alizée's latest tweets, she has sent off an email to a possible composer for the new album...this is good, but doesn't this mean she hasn't even touched the recording studio or even has lyrics? Hopefully it isn't rushed but still comes out in the Spring or summer.

Yeah. I've read it too. But, may be she just wanted to add more materials for her album. My guess is: They make more than what an album normally have so they can choose the best songs there are. Kind of like in a movie, they shoot more than they need, then jsut edit it to get the best shots.

True true...maybe she will reveal a bit more in the weeks to come via Twitter
