The main thing is Mylène is still the legal owner of all Gourmandises and MCE content. After the separation with Mylène, a judiciary war ensued. But Alizée lost in court, and had to spend several million euros to buy the rights for her most famous songs, the only song she can sing from her previous albums : Moi Lolita and J'en Ai Marre . I don't think La Isla Bonita is a major issue , since it's a madonna song, she used to sing it in mexico... but the instrumental used in the 2003 version may not be her property... i don't know about this one.

you mean JEAM/JPVA in Generation 2000? I think it has nothing to do if Alizée has rights or not

well... maybe... but somehow it doesnt fit for me... she had no problem to speak about her (now), in 2011 she tweeted a pic with a letter from Mylene, now the Mylene draw of MCE Alizée...

Things may have improved . It's true that the recent years have shown no sign of persisting tension between the two... But what it sure is that during the break up time, it was no laughing matter. Alizée lost a lot of money , to get back her rights on music. and she couldn't afford to buy the entire alizée label back, only a few songs.
