Yeah, level to 80, raid like hell, get pwnt by restodruids being cowards again. Raid the same thing again, be denied entry into a higher raid because you didn't win the roll from the last raid, wait for battleground queues, get pwnt because the PvP is imbalanced, walk around northrend, do the same daily quests for "fun".

Sounds "real" pwnage.

Any game based heavily on PvE like WoW is destined to get boring. MMO's are all about testing skill against other players, any game that bases heavily on PvP with PvE elements will win. Enter Warhammer! Est 1983!

WAR in itself is more darker and less scattered unlike WoW.

MMO's are different than all other online games. The are constantly growing and the game technically never ends. They are massive worlds with ton's of things to do and because people pay that fee the companies who make them can continue to add new things. You will also find that free MMO's are not able to update as frequently as pay to play MMO's can because they can support people to work on adding new content. Then eventually the time comes for a massive update with all kinds of new stuff and this is usually sold as a expansion but not always.

Then besides that the game is just great fun. You can meet a lot of cool people, test your skill against thousands, and work together with friends to take down the great groups of gamers or dungeons the game has set up. The fee is there to support the huge servers all these people play on and so the company can add new things, fix bugs, and work on an expansion all at the same time. Now I have never been one to lose myself to these games because frankly I know other things are more important, but I do enjoy them. I also respect companies who pour that much support towards a game but understand they too have to eat and pay for it somehow.
