Exactly 18 years ago on June 21, 2003 the iconic fifth live performance of “J’ai pas vingt ans !” (“I’m not twenty !”) during the “Fête de la musique” at the Champ-de-Mars, the park at the foot of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, was broadcasted live on the TV channels “France 2” and “TV5”.

It is interesting to note that the French had decided to add strobe lights to the Eiffel tower, and would turn them on for a few minutes at certain hours each night. It proved so popular that they decided to do it on a permanent basis, and this occasion was the completion of that project. You can see on the video of her performance an image of the Eiffel tower, along with some numbers. Those numbers were a countdown to when they were going to turn on the lights.

I've seen that a few times and it is a spectacular site and it looks like they've done more with the tower in terms of lighting in recent years.

Exactly 18 years ago on June 27, 2003 at 20:50 hours the sixth live performance of “J’ai pas vingt ans !” (“I’m not twenty !”) was broadcasted on the TV channel “M6” in “Absolument Été”.
Alizée also performed “Gourmandises” (“Delicacies”) from her first album, combining her classic “miam miam” (“yum yum”) dress with the longer hairstyle from the second album.
