Baise moi and if you know your french, baise can be translated to another "french". *sitting up late trying to make bad puns*
Based on the novel by Virginie Despentes of the same title. Manu and Nadine lose their last tenuous relationship with main-stream society when Manu gets raped and Nadine sees her only friend being shot. After a chance encounter, they embark on an explosive journey of sex and murder. Perhaps as a revenge against men, perhaps as a revolt against bourgeois society, but certainly in a negation - almost joyful in its senseless violence - of all the codes of a society which has excluded, raped and humiliated them. Controversial for its violence and real sex scenes: a vividly nihilist road movie set in France. Warning: Not for young viewers and easy offended.

Watched "Who's Harry Crumb?" tonight. Not his best, but still vintage John Candy.

yea, not the best movie ever. "fuck me" is the more correct translation. The film has also been screened in some markets as "Rape Me" (even though "baiser" does not mean "to rape" in French). This translation was rejected by the directors in a 2002 interview.

I could actually see it being a big box office hit just because of the tittle it'd have to be a good movie too but people are often intrigued by taboo

Just got finished watching the swedish drama "Lilya 4-Ever".
A beautiful 16 year old russian teen, our main character, is abandoned by her mother and boyfriend when they leave for America. With no money and only 1 true friend, Lilya strarts selling her body to pay the rent, but even so, she's forced out of her flat. When walking home after being raped, a seemlingly nice guy gives her a lift home. After they form a relationship, she's given a offer to go with him to Sweden to start life anew. Is this guy who he seems? I enjoyed this movie, the music was cool, the acting excellent and it was very raw, but also very depressing. The whole film is free to watch on Google Video, due to the fact that it's not available on DVD in the US (Criterion...are you listening!?) <embed id="VideoPlayback" src="http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docid=-2818582001271029300&hl=en&fs=true" style="width:400px;height:326px" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always"

It's a fun movie, but the humor in it might seem dated these days, today's comedies tend to be so sexual and raunchy, the comedy here is more subtle stuff. Jacques Tati is the missing link between between Charlie Chaplin and Peter Sellers, he's really a character. Quite funny, shame hardly anyone knows him in the states.
