Robbie probably loaded his pants riding those horses in the video, if it was actually him.

One for the old timers. Just a video of a 33 LP rotating on the turntable but one of the greatest songs out of the late 1960's. Short true story the album was recorded in the Motown Studios in Detroit and for six months afterward no one played it on the radio. Then one DJ dropped the needle and then another, and another and so one and the rest is history. Yeh who'd of thunk a bunch of white boys recording at Motown studios could put out such a kick ass classic. This gentlemen is the long version one song on one side of the LP and they don't made music like this today. BTW the lead singer was the drummer Pete Rivera. Rare Earth, Get Ready. Don't forget to read the comments on YouTube.
Hit play and open another window and surf the net with this song playing in the background it is over 21 minutes long. Or you can just watch Alizée dance in my signature to the song.

Somehow that era of the late 60's to early 70's definitely had a unique sound to the music. It was funky and had a lot of soul. It wasn't limited to motown artists either. Here is another good one from that era |

Is this the same Sade who sang 'Smooth Operator'? That was back in 1984.

Yes "Smooth Operator" was the band's breakthrough hit on the US charts, and their most successful single.

I am little suprised that there are no discussions about the Eurovision and Alizee.
France will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 with this song. Today is the final show. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurovision_Song_Contest Last edited by kulli; 05-12-2018 at 08:44 AM.. |
