1. No it's not. As I said, you just reframed it. In other words, YOU think the cat sound is "significant," when that isn't necessarily the case. But by adding it into the question, you bias the respondent into assuming (as you do) that the sound is significant. Once again, that's not specificity, it's simply rewriting the question to be more leading.

2. How does removing the sound effect "remove part of the main theme of the song"? That's like saying the sample in L'Alizé removes part of the main theme of that song. Anracadabra could function perfectly fine without the cat. If you like the sound, that's fine...but it's still your opinion that you're trying to pass off as fact. (And as obvious fact, at that!)


Regardless, all this is getting away from the point. You asked why people would want to remove the sound. I told you. End of story, really. If you like it, you like it. It doesn't make those of us who don't somehow "wrong." THAT is just silly.

Dang cat in this song always made me look around for a real live one, especially when the CD is on shuffle and I'm not expecting the song... and I don't even have a cat!
